Letter to the Editor: Bertrand is 'Everything a Father Could Ask for in a Daughter and More'
The father of School Committee candidate Jeanise Bertrand writes in her support, explaining how she has continued to study at Salem State and bring herself up to speed on School Committee issues.
To the Editor:
My daughter, Jeanise Bertrand, is a candidate for the Hamilton-Wenham Regional School Committee. I ask you all to support her.
Though she is young, she is passionate, articulate, and committed. She is motivated to be the best she can be, both for the people of the towns of Hamilton and Wenham and for herself. I know how much effort she has put into being informed about all of the issues that have presented themselves since the turning of the year.

I've watched Jeanise as she has burned the candle at both ends in order to maintain her high standing at Salem State University while pouring through the School Committee's budgets and associated documents. I have marveled as she has immersed herself in some of the esoterica of school board management and had to smile as she started to formulate ideas about how to do things better for the people of the two towns and, more importantly, for the students of the school system.
I ask all of you to support Jeanise and vote for her on Thursday. She is everything a father could ask for in a daughter and more. I am immensely proud of her and I know that she will be a great asset on the School Committee.
