Man Struck, Killed by Train Causes Delays Though Evening Commute
Delays lasted for about three hours on the North Shore trains after a man was struck and killed by a train in Revere on Thursday evening.

Commuter rail service to and from Beverly was significantly delayed on Thursday night after a man was struck and killed by a train in Revere, reports the Boston Globe.
The train that struck the man was inbound train 68 from Beverly. The incident happened at 5:54 p.m., a T spokeswoman told the Globe, near the Oak Island Road crossing in Revere, just south of the Saugus River bridge.
Beverly Patch users that were on the 5:40 p.m. outbound train from North Station posting to Facebook said that they were home in Beverly by 8 p.m. Riders on the train said they were stopped for about an hour near the location where the man was struck and killed.

Train service through Beverly was delayed until about 8:45 p.m. Inbound train 136, that leaves Rockport at 7:45 p.m., was cancelled and replaced with bus service that was running about an hour late, according to the T.
Jennifer Whitman, who was riding the 6:55 p.m. outbound train, said that when her train passed the scene there was a white sheet over a person off to the right side of the train and police were still there as her train passed by slowly.
