Man to Face Third Shoplifting Charge After Incident at Shopping Plaza

Sunday, May 19

• Assistance was provided after an accidental alarm activation at a Railroad Avenue address at 4:19 a.m.

• No police services were needed after a call for assistance on Essex Street at 9:01 a.m.

• A ticket was issued after a car stop near Harrigan’s Liquor Store on Bay Road at 9:29 a.m.

• A fire alarm activation at a Railroad Avenue address at 9:51 a.m. was caused by an accidental activation or defective alarm.

• A ticket was issued after a car stop on Bay Road at 10 a.m.

• A verbal warning was issued after a car stop on Railroad Avenue at 10:12 a.m.

• A car stop was conducted at Fallon’s on Route 1A just over the town line into Wenham at 11:42 a.m.

• A summons was issued after a report of shoplifting at a business at the Shoppes at Hamilton Crossing at 4:16 p.m. A 42-year-old Peabody man was issued a summons to appear in court to answer charges of the third offense of shoplifting by concealing merchandise.

• The report of a suspicious person at School and Knowlton streets at 9:11 p.m. was unfounded.

Monday, May 20

• Animal control was called for an animal call on Walnut Road at 8:09 a.m.

• A 911 hang-up or wrong dial call came from a Gardner Street address at 1:03 p.m.

• A ticket was issued after a car stop at Patton Drive and Bay Road at 1:27 p.m.
