Mass. Taxpayers Fund Turf Field in Sandwich

After Sandwich residents rejected a Proposition 2.5 override attempt to pay for a new turf field at Sandwich High School, Senate president Therese Murray inserted the $500,000 finding into the state budget…and it was approved!

Can you believe this?  Massachusetts taxpayers will be funding a Sandwich project that Sandwich voters did not want to fund.

Perhaps someone should ask the Senate president to fund turf fields for the Hamilton-Wenham Regional High School as well.

Or maybe the Patton Park pool?
