National Grid Plans Outages For Hamilton

The company is temporarily cutting power to upgrade the electric system.

HAMILTON, MA — Some neighborhoods in Hamilton will be temporarily in the dark next week as National Grid plans electrical outages in the area. The outages are necessary to upgrade the electric system.

The outages are planned for Jan. 15.

Only about three streets in town will be affected. Power will be cut for about eight hours. The town said about 115 National Grid customers will be affected by the outage and all have been notified.

The streets affected are:

  • Lake Drive
  • Leigh Road
  • Idlewood Avenue

Outages are scheduled to start at 8 a.m. and end at 4 p.m.
