Hamilton Native Is North End Fire Victim
The 33-year-old investment analyst died from injuries sustained when he leapt from the burning building.
BOSTON, MA — The man who died after jumping from a burning North End apartment building early Wednesday morning has been identified as a 33-year-old Hamilton native. The Boston Globe identified the man as Peter W. Smith.
Smith graduated from Hamilton-Wenham Regional High in 2002, did a post-graduate year at Philips Andover Academy, and graduated from Bowdoin College in 2007, the Globe reported. He worked as an investment analyst at a small Boston firm. Read the full Globe report here.
The body of a second man known around the North End simply as "Matt" or "Matty" was found in the building.
