North Shore Adventure Fitness Joins HW Recreation Department

HW Recreation just added four (4) new fitness classes to the summer program line-up. Secure your spot today at www.hwrecreation.com

We would like to introduce you to our newest Instructor, Marette Boyle. She is a certified personal trainer, CrossFit Coach, PaddleFit Instructor, Yoga Teacher and Adventure Coach. She will be offering a variety of fitness programs to help you and your family get back on track. Register online today at www.hwrecreation.com to secure your spot in one of her classes. 1) Boyle’s Body Weight Bootcamp- One (1) hour total body workout, done sans weights. A fun, tough, functional movement class. Designed for ALL LEVELS of fitness. Easily modified for both advanced athletes, and first timers. Functional movements designed to burn fat, boost metabolism, and increase performance. Participants should bring a towel or yoga mat and water. This is a four (4) week program with drop-in rates available too: July 27-August 21 from 5:30am-6:30am OR 10am-11am

2) Intro to Stand-Up Paddleboarding (SUP) & Paddle Fit- If you ever wondered what it felt like to walk on water, now is your opportunity!!! Paddleboarding is an incredible core and strength training. In this four (4) week program Intro to PaddleFit clients will learn the basics of Paddling, learn three (3) different types of turns, and eventually make it through PaddleFit 1 & 2 classes! Elements of balance, strength, core and flexibility will be involved in every class. ALL participants MUST be able to swim! Private and One on One training also available for a separate charge with HW Recreation.  Classes will be held over four weeks: eight classes on Monday and Fridays. Weekly scheduling is flexible. You can commit to the program and adjust the days you can attend. Marette will work with your schedule to get you on track. This is a four (4) week program (Offered on M/F) from Monday, July 27-Friday August 21: 7:30am-8:45am.

3) Suns Out Guns Out Summer Kettlebell Training- Strength, Conditioning, Core and Cardio. Get it all in the Total Body comprehensive training class. Weight training, functional movement and Dynamic exercises work you EVERYWHERE! A tough, but all level training class incorporating a dynamic warm up, well rounded WOD (Workout of the day) incorporating strength/conditioning and core plus elements of power and technique, with core toning and strength in each class. Cool down included! This program is for ALL levels. The program can be easily modified for each participants ability and strength. Participants 14 + may participant with their Parents Approval.  This is a four (4) week program (Offered T/Th) with drop-in rates available too: July 28-August 20 from 4:30pm-5:30pm

4) Personal Adventure Fitness Training- Customized Personal Fitness Training designed to advance fitness level and increase cardiovascular health and performance. Private training is 100% custom tailored to suit the needs/desires of each individual and/or group inquiring. All levels, Age 12+ with parental consent. Rates based on class size: personal, semi-private and small group.
