Notice to Hamilton Residents from The Hamilton Foundation

When Hamilton residents open their water bill this month, they will find enclosed a letter from The Hamilton Foundation (THF). THF is a non-profit foundation that provides financial help to “meet unexpected, urgent, and short-term needs of Hamilton residents due to job loss, death, divorce or catastrophic illness”. Its funds are totally provided by private donations, and this letter is our one annual request for contributions.

The letter is two sided. The first side describes the background of THF, the services it provides, the need for these services by Hamilton residents, and how people can contribute in support of our mission or recommend someone for our assistance. Note that 100% of donations go directly to those in need. There are no administrative costs.

The other side provides a brief list of cases THF has helped over the past year including the grant provided and its purpose. Our outreach also includes donations to ACCORD food pantry and college scholarships to graduating seniors.

We hope you will take the time to read our letter, and, if possible, make a donation to THF. And if you do, you will be one of many Hamilton “Neighbors Helping Neighbors in times of need.”
