Fear not, my friends we will beget an impeccable script! So began the year long journey of Stage 284’s directors, Jay Pension and Nathaniel Punches along with their merry cohorts, composer and lyricist, George Luton and Katie Clarke.
With the power of the pen, a rousing tale full of old-fashioned, swash-buckling adventure, plot twists and a touching love story became what will from here on be known as… Nottingham: The Legend of Robin Hood. Add one dynamic cast, along with an exhilarating musical score, and this production is guaranteed to be a hit with families and folks of any age.
“It's been such a joy to work with these incredible performers! The excitement around this project has really been palpable from the beginning and we can't wait to put the show on its feet for the first time in front of an audience. I can't imagine a better story to put on stage than this one! There is nothing quite like seeing something you've created go from being an idea on a page in a script to coming alive in the rehearsal room.” Jay Pension, Stage 284’s Artistic Director and Co-creator of Nottingham
"Putting this original work on stage has been such an incredibly rewarding experience. The support and excitement from the production team and the cast has been remarkably fulfilling." Nathaniel Punches, Co-creator Nottingham
