UPDATE: Parsons Hill Power Restored Overnight Tuesday
Eighty-five customers were without power throughout much of the blizzard.

Update 9:40 a.m. Wednesday:
Residents in the Parsons Hill Road area of Wenham finally received heat and power again.
According to a post on the Wenham Police Department Facebook page, power was restored to the 85 customers in the area at about 1:30 a.m. Wednesday. Power was lost at about 6 a.m. Tuesday, leaving residents without heat during much of the blizzard.

National Grid is now estimating that it will be 7 a.m. Wednesday before 85 customers in the Parsons Hill Road neighborhood of Wenham will see power restored.

According to a comment on the Hamilton-Wenham Patch Facebook page, power went out in the area at about 6 a.m. Tuesday and has remained out ever since.
National Grid arrived to work on the situation by 8:30 a.m., but “The damage was more extensive than previously thought,” according to a post on the Wenham Police Facebook page.
A shelter has been opened at Wenham Fire Department and an additional shelter will be opened at Buker School if there is a need. Anyone affected by the power outage should call Wenham Police at 978-468-4000 for more information, according to a release from the police department.
Additionally, members of the Wenham Police and Fire departments will go door to door to check on individuals in the affected neighborhood.
“I encourage all residents to check on their neighbors, especially those who are elderly, who live alone, or who may be ill,” Police Chief Thomas Perkins said. “A community is defined by how well it comes together during a crisis. We, as emergency workers, will be out in the neighborhoods, but if you see something or know someone who may need our help, please let us know.”
