Partners in Development Annual Benefit Event: Providing Homes for Families in Need
October 24, 6pm, Vittori Rocci Post, Beverly: Support PID's efforts to provide adequate housing for families living in squalor conditions.
Partners in Development (PID) will host its 15th Annual Benefit event at Vittori Rocci Post (143 Brimbal Ave, Beverly, MA 01915) on Saturday, October 24 from 6–10 p.m. to raise funds for their Housing Program. Community members are invited and encouraged to attend the event, to help bolster PID’s ongoing efforts to provide adequate housing for families living in squalor conditions.
A local non-profit based in Ipswich, MA, PID serves some of the poorest communities in Haiti, Guatemala and the United States (Mississippi Delta) through a variety of programs—including medical care, child sponsorship, economic development, and housing. Many families in these areas live in one-room homes with leaky roofs, dirt floors and little to no electricity or running water. The money raised through the event will help build newer, safer homes in these areas.
The event will feature a silent auction, buy-it-now items handcrafted in Haiti and Guatemala, hors d’oeuvres and Central American cuisine, complimentary beer and wine, and Latin dancing lessons with Greg Cole Dance and Drum. Tickets cost $50 per person and seating is limited; visit www.pidonline.org to register or learn more.
