This workshop will focus on how to increase your organization’s support from individuals—as both volunteers and donors. During this interactive session, participants will share their own experiences with building a community of individual supporters. We will also discuss the connection between volunteers and donors. You will learn to work collaboratively with individual supporters to create meaningful and engaging opportunities for contribution.

Presenter:
Theresa Hamacher has special expertise in the areas of governance and financial analysis and management. During her time as an ESC consultant, Theresa has worked with many organizations including Cambridge Community TV, New England Hemophilia Association, and The Newton Partnership. She has also served as a lead faculty member of ESC’s Governance Trainings for new consultants. Theresa is the President of NICSA, a not-for-profit trade association providing leadership and innovation in educational programming and information exchange within the operations sector of the worldwide investment industry. Currently, Theresa also serves on the Board of Advisors of the Guidance Center, and has served on the Board of On the Rise, a nonprofit serving women who are homeless or in crisis. She is the former Chief Investment Officer and Executive Vice President of Pioneer Investment Management USA and the former Chief Investment Officer for Prudential Mutual Funds of Prudential Insurance Company of America. She is the co-author of The Fund Industry: How Your Money is Managed (2011) and The Pocket Idiot’s Guide to Investing in Stocks (2006).
Breakfast and networking will take place between 8:00 am and 8:30 am.
The Presentation will be from 8:30 am to 10:30 am.
