PHOTOS: Buker Students Learn About Giving with Donation to Acord
A Buker Elementary School tradition of holiday season donations to Acord Food Pantry continued last week.
A tradition at in Wenham continued last Tuesday when the first and second grade teachers asked their students to think about "giving" during the holiday season.
The two classes have been working with the in Hamilton to provide ingredients for a Christmas breakfast. Instead of selecting a small gift for their teachers, they have collected pancake mixes, canned fruit, syrup and canned hams.
These items will provided a special meal on the holiday for the clients of the food pantry. The students loaded up their wagons at the Buker School on a chilly Tuesday morning and pulled eight wagon loads of food over to the pantry in Hamilton.
