UPDATED: Police Search for Two Teen Runaways Who Took Cab from Wenham
Wenham police are looking for two teenage runaways who were last seen being picked up by a taxi early Sunday morning in Wenham.
Police are looking for two teenage runaways – including one that does not have an important medical device with her - that were picked up by a taxi early Sunday morning in Wenham.
Chief Ken Walsh said Sunday afternoon that the teenagers were picked up by taxi at 1:30 a.m. at Gordon College and taken to South Station, where they were last seen at 1:53 a.m.
“We know they made it to Boston,” Walsh told Patch. “They are runaways at this point.”

The missing kids are Connor Southhard, 13 and Laura Dixon, 14, who police say are boyfriend and girlfriend.
Walsh said Southhard lives in Manchester-by-the-Sea and Dixon lives in Wenham. Police from departments in both towns are involved in the search.

Police said the pair are possibly headed to New York City or New Hampshire. State Police, MBTA police and Amtrak police have all become involved, as have police officials from New York City and New Hampshire.
The National Center for Missing and Exploited Children and FBI have also become involved.
Southhard is described 5-foot, 7-inches tall with a thin build and short dirty blond hair. When he was seen he was believed to be wearing a short light blue coat, dark winter cap and dark pants. He was carrying a black backpack with “Connor” printed on it.
Laura Dixon is 5 foot, 4-inches tall with a thin build and possibly red hair. She may have changed her hair color before leaving. She is possibly wearing a short light blue coat and a dark winter hat. She was carrying a dark backpack. She also walks with a limp because of a foot injury and is without her protective boot.
Wenham Police Sgt. Jonathan Gray is leading the investigation and anyone who has information about the whereabouts of Southard and Dixon should call Wenham police at 978-468-4000 or the Manchester by-the-Sea police at 978-526-1212.
This report has been corrected to say that the two are boyfriend and girlfriend - not siblings, as was initially reported, citing a report from WCVB-TV. It has also been updated with the correct hometown of each teenager, which was opposite in an initial report.
