Regional Class of 2011 Graduation: Live Blog

The Class of 2011 is graduating on Sunday. Below is a live blog from A.J. Gordon Chapel at . The newest entry is at the top.

1:18 p.m. Class President Hannah Chmura offerred the closing remarks, quoting Dr. Seuss, and the graduates are now filing out of the chapel.

1:15 Class Advisor Joe Maher and Assistant Class Advisor Kristin Umile are being honored by the class officers.

1:13 p.m. All of the diplomas have been handed out. There is a loud applause in the chapel and some of the graduates on the risers on the stage are pounding their feet.

1 p.m. More than half the graduates have crossed the stage and received their diplomas.

12:42 p.m. Principal Matt Fox and Senior Class Advisor Joe Maher are beginning to hand out diplomas on the stage.

12:39 p.m. Two graduates who are joining the Armed Forces stand and are recognized by Fox.

12:32 p.m. Principal Matt Fox is going through the acronym L.E.A.R.N. with the seniors for the final time. He's talking about all the colleges and universities they are attending as well as science fair and history fair accomplishments.

12:22 p.m. Valedictorian Kathleen Vanni is talking about saying goodbye to the two towns, three stoplights and knowing three people at .

12:15 Salutatorian Ashley Haejin Kang is talking about all the items people may find in the backpacks of her classmates.

12:10 p.m. Retiring physical education teacher Doug Hoak tells the graduates the world needs more Generals.

12:05 p.m. The graduates march in to the chapel from both sides.
