Santa and Police Team up to Double Toy Donations This Year

The number of toys collected at the Hamilton Police Department's "Stuff a Cruiser" toy drive this year doubled the total from last year's inaugural event.

Sgt. Stephen Trepanier described the event as a "great success." The donated toys went to Boston Children's Hospital.

This year's event, which featured an appearance by Santa, collected over 400 toys. Last year, about 200 toys were collected.

Brand Company of Hamilton, which is owned by Deputy Fire Chief and dispatcher Kirby Brand, donated all the batteries for the toys, Trepanier said.
