School Choice Hearing - December 3
The Hamilton Wenham School Committee will hold a hearing regarding participation in the statewide School Choice program.
The School Committee will hold a hearing on Thursday, December 3 regarding School Choice admissions to the district.
Annually, the Hamilton-Wenham Regional School Committee decides if the district will allow admission to the schools through the statewide School Choice program. And if so, at which grade levels and how many students to admit.
Historically, the school district has allowed admissions only in grades 9-12. In 2014, the Hamilton Wenham school district admitted 120 Choice students (16% of the total student body.) For the 2015-2016 school year, 84 Choice students enrolled (14% of the total student body.)
