Second State Finals Top 10 Finish in Two Years for Golf Team

The golf team finished eighth in the Div. 3 state championship on Monday, making it the second top 10 finish in two years for the Generals.
The team score of 332 was 19 strokes behind champion Westwood but just two strokes out of seventh – . Last year was the first time in five years that Hamilton-Wenham had gone to the state finals in golf.
On Monday afternoon, Coach Bill Corley said the team finished in the middle of the pack but did not have the complete results available. There were 15 teams in the Div. 3 tournament at Glen Ellen Country Club in Millis, meaning the Generals eighth place finish was just about exactly in the middle.
