Slate.com Deputy Editor Coming to Beverly

John Swansburg ‘92, deputy editor of Slate.com, will round out the first year of the Speaker Series, on Sunday, December 6th at 2 PM at Glen Urquhart School in Beverly.  Slate.com is considered one of the preeminent online current affairs and culture magazines and known for its witty take on the news. Previously, John was deputy editor of the Boston Globe Ideas section and a senior editor at Legal Affairs magazine. He has also written for the New York Times, among other publications. John, a graduate of Yale, will speak about online journalism and how it has changed the way we get and share what we know and think.
