Sportsmens Barbershop now located at Cummings Center
Beverly institution moves from North Beverly

Sportsmens Barbershop, a Beverly institution for more than 40 years, opened at its new location at Cummings Center’s 100 building last week.
Marked with a red-white-and-blue barbershop pole, the newly renovated nearly 1,000-square-foot space at suite 104-Q features five chairs and a flatscreen TV. Sportsmens has five barbers on staff, and will be open Monday through Saturday. Both appointments and walk-ins are welcome.
Multiple generations of Beverly-area families have been patronizing the traditional barbershop for decades.

The previous location on Enon Street was at a busy North Beverly intersection, set back from the street. It was on the second floor, with limited parking.
The abundant adjacent parking, convenient first floor location, and busy foot traffic at Cummings Center make it the ideal spot for the established barbershop, according to Danvers resident and Sportmens owner Donna Mahar.

“We are so excited to be making a fresh start at Cummings Center,” said Mahar. “The stairs at our old space were a challenge for some of our clients. Our new shop is much more accessible and will hopefully attract many new customers, too.”
“The timing is perfect for Sportsmens Barbershop to move to Cummings Center,” according to Account Manager Don Fortenbacher, who worked with Mahar on the relocation. “In addition to the thousands of employees and visitors who visit the campus daily, our Elliott Landing condominiums will be opening next month, bringing many potential new clients to the area.”
Sportsmens is one of several personal care service firms at Cummings Center, including several massage services, BodiScience Wellness Center and Spa, HK Beauty Studio, New England Electrology Center, Orange Nail Studio, Our Beauty, and Paula’s Hair Salon and Day Spa.
