Student Volunteer Recognized for Race Relations

Connie Truong has been organizing the third annual Asian American Footsteps Conference.

A student at Pingree School in Hamilton has won a top honor for her work on race relations.

Connie Truong, a senior from Lawrence, has been awarded the Princeton University Prize in Race Relations in the Boston area, reports The Eagle-Tribune.

The award comes with a $1,000 prize and Truong has been invited to Princeton University to take part in the school's Prize Symposium on Race in April.

Truong is in her third year of helping organize the annual Asian American Footsteps Conference at Pingree.
