Support Acord at 15 Walnut on Monday, January 26th

Located in Hamilton, the Acord Food Pantry provides non-perishable food, fresh produce, and selections of dairy and protein to residents of six neighboring towns, including Hamilton and Wenham. Currently supporting approximately 150 families weekly, Acord is a fully self-supported pantry and fills its shelves through food and monetary donations; as well as private, business, and community grants.

On Monday, January 26, 2015 you can help support the Acord Food Pantry in two ways if you stop by the 15 Walnut restaurant in the Shoppes at Hamilton Crossing located in downtown Hamilton just off Bay Road (1A).

First, as part of its “Give Back Monday” program, 15 Walnut will donate 10% of all menu receipts on Monday, January 26 to the Acord Food Pantry – regardless of what time of day you dine at the restaurant. Flyers will be available at the door for diners to share with their servers.

Second, bring non-perishable food donations and you may win a gift certificate to 15 Walnut. Acord accepts donations of shelf-stable food items as well as toiletries, household paper and cleaning products and its most-needed items include:

Breakfast items

Jam and jelly (all flavors), cereal (all kinds), pancake mix, syrup, hot cereals

Canned goods

Chili, hearty soup, canned meats, baked beans, beef stew, Chef Boyardee, SpaghettiOs, peanut butter, tomato products (sauce, diced, paste)

Dry goods

Coffee, tea, cocoa, rice (all kinds),
baking mixes

Juices

100% juice in cans, bottles, or juice boxes

Snack items

Healthy, individually wrapped snacks such as granola bars, raisins, pudding, fruit cups

Condiments

Mayonnaise, salad dressing, mustard, ketchup and
other condiments

Personal care items

Soap, body wash, shampoo, deodorant, toothbrushes, toothpaste, tampons

Baby items

Diapers, formula, baby food, baby cereal
