Three Alarm Fire Reported at Cutler Road Home

UPDATE: The home belongs to Mandy Carter-Zegarowski, mother of Syracuse basketball star Michael Carter-Williams. He was leading his team to a victory in the NCAA tournament during the fire.

Firefighters from several area towns are battling a third-alarm fire at a Hamilton home on Saturday evening.

The fire was first reported at about 10:30 p.m. as a chimney fire. The fire had extended to the attic of the building, according to radio transmissions and tweets from users who monitor public safety incidents.

Crews from at least a half dozen local towns were assisting the Hamilton Fire Department, including firefighters from Beverly, Danvers, Essex, Rowley, Topsfield and Ipswich.
