Upcoming Garden to Table Event

Time to prepare your spring garden! Katie Folts from Massachusetts Horticultural Society will share her plant expertise and help families work together to start their own spring garden. It will be a great learning experience for everyone!

Join us as we help you start a spring garden. This hand on workshop will help you start and maintain a vegetable garden. We will review plant needs, plant choice, planting techniques, garden maintenance and harvesting. Families will start their own vegetable garden that can be grown in a container or moved to a garden plot. Massachusetts Horticultural Society will provide kid friendly plants that will encourage your kids to spend time in the garden and eat what they grow. All materials will be provided including: pots, soil, seeds, and a handout on maintaining your garden. Participants can bring gardening gloves if they prefer to use them.

Location: HW Recreation Center Gymnasium, 16 Union Street, S. Hamilton, MA 01982

Date: Saturday, April 18th from 10am-noon

Cost: $15 per family, HW Residents and $20 per family, Non-Residents.  (One registration per family - up to 5 members per family)
