Water Bans Resume in Wenham, Continue in Hamilton
The water ban had been relaxed in Wenham, but is now back in effect.

Wenham residents enjoyed a few days reprieve from the recent outdoor watering ban, but that restriction went back into effect as of June 19.
Wenham selectmen announced a relaxation of the restriction at a June 16 meeting, but by Friday, June 19, the full outdoor watering ban was back in place, according to a report on the town website.

All nonessential outdoor watering, including but not limited to the use of water for irrigation or automobile and property washing is prohibited. Hand watering is allowed from 5 pm to 9 am daily. This ban includes water from private wells.
Violators of the order are subject to fines of up to $100 for each offense.

In Hamilton, the water ban has been in place since late May. As a reminder:
All outside mechanical watering prohibited. Hand held watering only between the hours of 8:00 p.m. to 8:00 a.m. Residents are required to limit all non-essential water use.
