Wenham Coronavirus: 7 Confirmed Cases

Here are the latest updates about the coronavirus in Wenham.

WENHAM, MA — Wenham has seven confirmed cases of the new coronavirus in town, as of Monday. In a notice to the community, the town warned that the actual number of cases is likely much higher than just those who were confirmed positive.

Residents are urged to follow the recommendations regarding good hygiene and personal action issued by the CDC and the state Department of Public Health. The town has also closed all playing fields, playgrounds and parks to limit the spread of the virus.

Wenham police will be enforcing social distancing measures and patrolling the parking lots of parks and trails to ensure residents are in compliance.

The total number of cases in the state is 28,163. Gov. Charlie Baker said on Tuesday, about half the state's nearly 16,000 hospital beds are available for patients suffering from COVID-19.
