Wenham CPC Seeks Applications for 2015

The Wenham Community Preservation Committee seeks applications for funding of projects in 2015.

In 2005, Wenham voters adopted the Community Preservation Act (CPA) allowing the Town to collect a 3% surcharge on each tax bill. The CPA funds provide the Town with a smart growth tool allowing to identify and preserve vital historic and open space components of our town and to develop opportunities for growth that maintain the town’s heritage and character.

The CPC is please to announce the state matching figures for this year:

  • Raised from local surcharge: $295,150
  • From the state: $184,094 (a 62.37% match)*
  • Total: $479,244

* Towns that did not have the 3% surcharge received a 31.4% match.

Wenham’s CPC welcomes applications for open space, historic, recreational, and housing projects to be funding in 2015. To be consiered projects must meet the criteria for funding through the Community Preservation Act and an application must be filed by the deadline of Friday, January 9, 2015 at noon. Applications are available on the Town of Wenham website at www.WenhamMA.gov.
