Wenham Man Dies in Plane Crash in Bahamas
Selden Loring, 77, was killed Tuesday. His wife survived the crash.
A Wenham man was killed in a plane crash in the Bahamas this week.
Selden Loring, 77, died Tuesday.
The Associated Press reported he was aboard a small Navajo Chieftain craft carrying 11 people. The plane was attempting to land in New Providence when the pilot reported problems with the craft. It crashed in shallow water about 500 feet from the coast. Nearby divers saw the crash and rescued the survivors, the AP reported.

Everyone else aboard the craft, including Loring’s wife, Aila Tuulikki Loring, survived, according to the Boston Globe.

Loring was a car salesman who grew up in Lexington, the Globe reported.
