Wenham Names New Town Administrator

The new administrator comes to Wenham from Newburyport.

Wenham’s Board of Selectmen Tuesday night voted to name Peter Lombardi the new town administrator.

Lombardi currently serves as director of policy and administration in Newburyport, according to a post on the Town of Wenham website. He’s held that position since 2012, his resume reads.

Selectmen interviewed three finalists for the position: Lombardi; Sean Fitzgerald, currently town manager of Plaistow, N.H.; and Leon Goodwin, assistant town manager/director of community affairs in Salem, N.H.

In his application packet, Lombardi wrote, “I am passionate about making a difference in municipal government and look forward to having the opportunity to make a lasting contribution to the Town of Wenham.”

Lombardi’s hiring is pending a background check and contract negotiations.
