Woman Injured When Car Hits Pole
A Hamilton woman was injured when her car hit an utility pole near Winthrop Elementary School on Monday.

The crash remains under investigation, according to a report by Officer Michael Girolimon. There was no immediate explanation for how it happened,
Janet Rose, 50, of Hamilton was injured in the crash. She was taken to Beverly Hospital by Lyons ambulance, where she was treated and released, according to a hospital spokesman.

The pole that her car hit was damaged but did not break or fall in the crash.
Police did not release the type of vehicle Rose was driving, the direction she was traveling or whether she was wearing a seatbelt at the time if the crash.

At the crash scene, it appeared Rose was headed westbound and her vehicle appeared to be a small sedan.
Asbury Street was down to one lane for a time while rescuers from Lyons and the tended to Rose and later while her car was towed away by Paul’s Auto. Two-way traffic resumed about an hour after the crash.
