A Bluesy Summer of Free Music at the Shipyard

Check out the summer long schedule.

The Hingham Shipyard will launch an eight-week free music series featuring a number of award-winning and popular local jazz and blues bands. Performances are every Friday starting July 8, and are a great way to spend time with families and enjoy a summer night on the water. The concerts take place at the shipyard's amphitheater and run from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

 

July 8 Darrell Nulisch: an award nominated Blues musician from Somerville, MA.

July 15 Debbie Davies: a blues guitarist and winner of the 2010 Blues Music Award for Best Traditional Female Artist


July 22 Sunny Crownover and Her All Star Rhythm and Blues Review: a jazz, rhythm, and blues band said to be reminiscent of the 1930’s.

July 29 Toni Lynn Washington Band: A 13-member blues band complete with trumpet and sax!


August 5 The Love Dogs: A South Shore favorite blues band.


August 12 Sugar Ray and The Blue Tones: a four piece Chicago style blues band


August 19 The Bruce Katz Band: a blues and soul-jazz band, nominated for past Blues Music Awards.


August 26th The Brian Templeton Band: a Boston-based blues band since 1989!
