The Academy of The Company Theatre Presents School of Rock Youth Musical

Regional premiere of Andrew Lloyd Webber's current Broadway production, based on film starring Jack Black

The Academy of The Company Theatre (A.C.T.) presents the regional premiere of the youth musical production of School of Rock, from April 22 through 30, at The Company Theatre Center for the Performing Arts, 30 Accord Park Drive, Norwell. The production is directed by Zoe Bradford and Jordie Saucerman, with music direction by Melissa Carubia and choreography by Sally Forrest.

School of Rock is a brand new musical based on the popular film starring Jack Black. Dewey Finn, a failed, wannabe rock star who decides to earn a few extra bucks by posing as a substitute teacher at a prestigious prep school. Completely disinterested in academics, Dewey decides to create his own curriculum, turning his class into a guitar-shredding, bass-slapping, mind-blowing rock band. The current Broadway production is produced by Andrew Lloyd Webber, who composed 14 new songs to create a score, which also features all of the original songs from the movie. School of Rock, with its sensational live kids’ rock band, is a loving testimony to the transforming power of music. May the spirit of rock be with you!

ACT was founded in 1987 by Zoe Bradford, Michael Joseph and Jordie Saucerman, with a mission to discover the creative spirit in each child in an enjoyable and challenging atmosphere and to build self-confidence through the experience of the arts.
