• Hingham Board Backs $16.37M Plymouth River Roof, Trims First Week of Early Voting (southshore.news subscription) — Hingham's Select Board is backing three major school roof projects, including a $16.37 million full roof-deck replacement at Plymouth River Elementary, ahead of an October 29 Special Town Meeting vote. With state reimbursement expected around 37%, the town's share for Plymouth River and South Elementary is estimated at $16.17 million, and a tax impact calculator for residents will be released soon.
   

• Original Wahlburgers closes after nearly 15 years (wftv.com) — Hingham residents just lost a local landmark: the original Wahlburgers on Shipyard Drive closed September 30 after nearly 15 years, with only a day's notice to customers. Owners cited the end of the lease and say they're searching for a new Boston-area location, while other Massachusetts Wahlburgers spots, including near Fenway and Logan Airport, remain open.
