Alleged embezzler to face jury in March

Brian J. Balzarini, 52, of 70 Starr Road, Bridgewater had charges of broker embezzlement, larceny over $250 by single scheme, and larceny over $250 continued to March 15 for a jury trial in Hingham District Court. The charges stem from a Oct. 27, 2010 incident at Intellidyn, 175 Derby St., in Hingham. According to the police incident report, Balzarini was fired on Oct. 29, 2009 for
allegedly not fulfilling his duties as the company's chief financial officer. The company accused him of not placing funds into employees' 401K plans or filing their taxes. He also allegedly used a company credit card for personal use and is accused of embezzling $27,276.

Larceny charges dismissed in case of missing purse

Bonnie L. Brooks-Francis, 48, of 189 Wentworth Ave., Brockton had charges of larceny over $250 and larceny from a building dismissed with prejudice in Hingham District Court. The charges stem from a Oct. 3, 2010 incident in Hingham at 9:30 p.m. when police responded to a report of a missing purse at the Summer Shack on Derby Street. The purse contained $375, two bank cards, a checkbook, Blackberry cell phone, and keys to vehicles, the police incident report said.

Armed assault charge dismissed in 2010 stabbing incident

Matthew R. Guerrera, 22, of 14 F St., Hull had charges of armed assault to murder and assault and battery with a dangerous weapon dismissed in Hingham District Court because a witness for the prosecution failed to appear at the jury trial. The charges stem from a Nov. 23, 2010 incident at the Sunoco gas station at 19 Summer St. in Hingham where an employee was stabbed by a masked
assailant.

Weymouth woman charged with embezzlement skips arraignment

Tenneysa C. Hughes, 36, of 6132 Avelon Drive, Weymouth failed to appear at an arraignment in Hingham District Court on a charge of embezzlement/misapplication by a fiduciary. The charge stems from a report of a fraudulent check in the amount of $4,125 made out to the New England Friends Home on Turkey Hill Lane with Hughes representing Coughlin Consulting Service, according to the police incident report.

Plymouth man found guilty of unlicensed driving

Ejay K. Jenkins, 32, of 27 Long Pond Road, Plymouth was found guilty of unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle in Plymouth District Court and was ordered to pay a $450 fine. The charge stems from a incident at 2:49 p.m. on Marc Drive in Plymouth.

Case of receiving stolen property continued for hearing

Justin J. Callahan, 23, of 50 Stillwater Drive, Plymouth had charges of improper use of fog lights, operating a motor vehicle after license suspension, and a warrant charge of receiving stolen property over $250 continued to Jan. 20 for a pretrial hearing in Plymouth District Court. The charges stem from a incident at 11:14 p.m. on Samoset Street in Plymouth.
