Proceeds support the art education programs and scholarships of

South Shore Art Center, serving 1,400 children each year.

(Cohasset, MA) Art Off the Wall is South Shore Art Center’s 2015 winter fundraiser—and is guaranteed to be lots of fun plus support a great cause.

The Bancroft Gallery will be dedicated to showcasing up to 100 pieces of original, donated art – each piece valued over $250. Event attendees can purchase either a Collector’s Ticket or a Guest Ticket for the cocktail party. Those who have purchased a Collector’s Ticket will participate in a bingo-like call-game and will go home with an original piece of art.

“The South Shore community is fortunate to have a thriving artist community and an Art Center that supports education and understanding of the arts. Over 1,400 children take art classes at South Shore Art Center at no cost. The proceeds of Art Off the Wall directly support this effort, an important piece of the local creative economy.” says Bill Wenzel, President of the Board of Directors, and co-owner of Image Resolutions in Norwell. Event chair, Andrea Hillier of Cohasset states “It’s a delightful way to support local artists, a local cause, as well as start an original art collection. We are thrilled so many people are coming together to support arts education and the arts community of the South Shore.”

Artists donating work are among the area’s most beloved and collected artists, and include many of the Art Center’s Gallery Artists, South Shore Art Center’s living collection. Artists include Kim Alemian, Dianne Panarelli Miller, Nancy Colella, Nancy Jaye, Michele Meister, Karen Cass, and many, many more.

Delectable food will be provided by local caterers Kate’s Table, The Chef’s Table, The Catered Affair, Ellen MacKenzie and The Fresh Feast. Harborside Wine and Spirits is providing the beverages.
