Police Log: $600 Vacuum Stolen From Hingham Store

The following is an excerpt from the Hingham Police Log from Wednesday, April 11. The following information was supplied by the Hingham Police Department and does not indicate a conviction.

At 10:49 a.m. a caller reported a vehicle struck the guard rail on Route 3 and then got off Exit 15 and was sitting at the intersection of Derby Street and Recreation Park Drive.

At 10:51 a.m. a caller at the Old Ship Parish House reported that she found a used firecracker and a burn mark by the building.  The caller requested extra patrols at night.

At 8:32 p.m. a caller at Bed Bath & Beyondreported a $600 vacuum was stolen.  Police were called to review surveillance video.

At 9:45 p.m. a caller reported a vehicle hit a house on Colonial Road and the entire house shook.  Police who arrived at the scene determined that a motor vehicle backed into a pole by the home which shook the entire home.
