Selectmen announced Thursday that they will open the Annual Town Meeting Warrant to insert an article seeking voter approval of the proposed $3.7 million purchase.

The Hingham Board of Selectmen have reached a tentative agreement with AvalonBay Communities, Inc. and several landowners to purchase 18 acres of land off Recreation Park Drive build a wastewater-treatment plant there.
Selectmen announced Thursday that they will open the Annual Town Meeting Warrant to insert an article seeking voter approval of the proposed $3.7 million purchase.
The Town is considering the site for a wastewater treatment facility, which will include a buffer for the neighboring residential properties from surrounding commercial operations, according to assistant Hingham Town Moderator Betty Foley.
