Berklee Stars To Perform in Hingham

A look at an upcoming concert at the South Shore Conservatory.

and Berklee College of Music launch   Berklee Stars at SSC, an outdoor entertainment series with The Soul of a Man, Berklee’s own modern day rhythm and blues band.

The concert will be held on Friday, July 6, at 7  p.m. at the South Shore Concervatory.

Incorporating blues, gospel, soul, and funk tones, The Soul of a Man has been described as, “high energy all the time,” garnering recognition from award-winning artists. With a four-piece rhythm section, a top shelf horn trio, and lead vocalist, the group’s veritable wall of sound projects energy, emotions and excitement to the audience.

South Shore Conservatory has partnered with Berklee College of Music to launch Berklee Stars at SSC, a new Friday night outdoor entertainment series premiering this summer.  Presented at the Conservatory’s Hingham campus, Berklee Stars at SSC features many of Berklee’s most promising solo musicians and bands.

The Soul of a Man is the first of four Berklee Stars at SSC performances, a segment of the Conservatory’s Evenings Under the Stars concert series. Other acts include Cameron Gilpin on Friday, July 13, Amelia Ali on Friday, July 27 and Joanna Teters on Friday, August 3.  Concerts start at 7 pm, tickets are $10.
