Boston Pops and Grammy Nominated Musicians to Perform in Hingham

Tickets are still available for Music in the Park on Friday night.

This Friday enjoy live music, dancing, eating,  wine-drinking,  ands socializing  right in Hingham with Music in the Park.

The musical event is at 7 p.m. at  the Bergsten Music warehouse space in Hingham  on 85 Research Road and is being organized by the Derby Street Shoppes and the Atlantic Symphony Orchestra .

According to Derby Street Shoppes, Marketing & Social Media Coordinator Niamh O'Maille, 'Music in the Park' is a funky evening of musical fun, all to benefit the Atlantic Symphony Orchestra.

This Friday night event will include an auction, piano and flute performances from of ASO piano soloist Konstantinos Papadakis and flautist Jessica Lizak, and performers from the Boston Pops. Grammy Nominated Artists Andy Bergsten and Chuck McDermott will also perform. The food and wine will from Pastene and Noceto Michelotti.

Bergsten, who is on the Board of Directors for the Atlantic Symphony Orchestra and a former bass player for the Hingham Symphony said the third annual event is expected to draw between 150-175 spectators.

Bergsten said the event will be an unusual night where Hingham residents will get the opportunity to see a  Hollywood-like production facility. The Bergsten Music warehouse supplies instruments for famous musical artists such as Tony Bennett.

A $50 donation is required by each guest. To attend Friday’s event, call 781-749-7800. Tickets are also available at the door.
