Boston Private Bank & Trust Company Sponsors Conservatory Concert Series

Boston Private Bank & Trust Company is the sponsor of the SSC Conservatory Concert Series for the 2014-2015 season.

“We are proud to be the presenting sponsor of the South Shore Conservatory Concert Series again this year,” said George G. Schwartz, Chief Operating Officer, Boston Private Bank & Trust Company. “Thanks to the presence of our office in Hingham, we have witnessed firsthand the Conservatory’s commitment to delivering quality music and arts programs to the South Shore community and we are delighted to be a partner in that worthy endeavor.

The Concert Series features the talented faculty of the Conservatory, in solo and ensemble performances, representing a broad range of musical genres. The 2014-2015 season includes seven concerts. This year, for the first time, we will present four of the concerts in both of the Conservatory’s locations, in Duxbury and Hingham, for a total of eleven performances.

Upcoming concerts include In Love and War: The Music of World War I which will be performed on November 9, in Hingham and November 16, in Duxbury. The SSC Voice Faculty presents Joyful Voices on December 14, in Hingham. Katy Boc leads a faculty ensemble in Made in America, featuring music of our American roots, on February 8, 2015, in Duxbury, and February 15, in Hingham. Distinguished alumni return for Homecoming: SSC Alumni in Concert on March 15, in Hingham. From Vienna with Love: An All-Mozart Extravaganza, will be presented in Duxbury on April 19, and in Hingham, on May 3. The season ends on June 19, with the Cedar Hill Jazz Club performing in the Jane Carr Amphitheater in Hingham.

Thanks to the support of Boston Private Bank & Trust Company, admission to the concerts is free, advancing the Conservatory’s mission of expanding access to arts education and performance. All concerts are at 4 pm, and the audience is invited to meet the performers at a complimentary reception immediately following each concert. Duxbury concerts are presented at SSC’s Ellison Center for the Arts, 64 Saint George Street, and Hingham Concerts are at South Shore Conservatory, One Conservatory Drive.

South Shore Conservatory, recently recognized as a national model for arts education by the National Guild for Community Arts Education, is celebrating nearly 45 years of enriching the lives of South Shore residents through music and the arts.
