An Even Keel - A Wolf in Sheep's Clothing

A Wolf in Sheep's Clothing: pretending to be one thing that appeals to their prey when their agenda is really something else, something they are for and you are against.

A Wolf in Sheep’s Clothing: pretending to be one thing that appeals to their prey when their agenda is really something else, something they are for and you are against.

A Wolf in Sheep’s clothing; that is the Republican Party at this point. I am a die hard Independent. I have very little use for either party and while I am not going to endorse the Democrats, I certainly am going to blast the Republicans on this particular day. While I feel the Democrats are inept, I feel the Republicans to be dangerous.

If the story last week about Senate candidate Todd Akin of Missouri doesn’t open your eyes nothing ever will. Regarding his comments about how, from what Dr’s told him, the female body can prevent pregnancy during instances of legitimate rape. How absurd is that?

The first thing I want to know is what Dr’s told him that; if there are any as they most certainly need to go before a review board. Why hasn’t the press asked him that? As the days went on after that statement was made and candidate Akin was trying to “Clarify” his statement he said there were several other Senator’s and Congressmen that felt the same way yet he was unable to name who they were.

This is your Republican Party people. This is what the Republican Party is all about; ultra conservative values. They want to make their beliefs law so that you have to live by their beliefs. It’s time to wake up folks or that is exactly what you will be doing.

Most of what we hear in the election gibberish is all about the economy and how President Obama hasn’t improved the economy and the lack of jobs etc. Well that is all true, it isn’t news. But what they aren’t saying is that no matter who was in office we would still be in the same boat.

We got ourselves into a whole heap of trouble thanks to pretty much everyone involved; Wall Street and Politicians have been taking most of the blame but the fact is that pretty much everyone is to blame. We as a country, as a business community and as individuals were living beyond our means and now we are paying the piper.

The problems that created the “Great Recession” were decades in the making. They are not going to be fixed in a matter of months or a couple of years. It is going to take the better part of a decade or more to fix these problems. We may not like to hear that but it is the truth. You don’t need to be an economic expert to figure it out either, just plan common sense.

So while the Republican candidates play on your woes to get you to vote for them, beware of their real agenda, social conservatism. They want to take your choices and freedoms away. The party that wants a smaller less intrusive Federal Government wants to be more intrusive into your life and how you live it; how is that for irony.

I am all for the fiscal responsibility the Republicans preach but again, in such irony; they will not compromise and endorse a tax system that is fair across the board.

Reganomics and the trickle down theory are being blown up, it is not the wealthy that are the economic engine of this country; the middle class is the economic engine of this country, the class that is being obliterated.

A Wolf in sheep’s Clothing: pretending to be one thing that appeals to their prey when their agenda is really something else, something they are for and you are against. Be careful what you ask for because you may actually be getting something else. Look beyond the gibberish for the true story.
