An Even Keel-Getting to Know Me
Welcome to my blog and welcome back from a great holiday weekend! I recently saw a request on Hingham Patch for more bloggers, thought I would give it a shot.
Welcome to my blog and welcome back from a great holiday weekend! I recently saw a request on Hingham Patch for more bloggers, thought I would give it a shot. This is not something I have really done before (tried a personal blog but never found the time to do it). I hope you find my posts interesting, follow along, even comment. My intent is to post on both Tuesday and Thursday mornings; we’ll see how that works out.
I decided to take this on because there is a lot I see in today’s world that I would like to comment on. Some of the things I have to say will be serious, some of it will be more on the light side.

A little background on myself: For the most part I grew up in Hingham; Class of ’80. I spent 25 years living in South Florida swearing never to return other than to visit, so much for that plan. About 6 or 7 years ago I made a surprise return, not sure who was surprised more, me or family. More on the reasons for my return in future posts.

I have always been somewhat an entrepreneur; starting with a Patriot Ledger route and washing boats in the summer as a kid. I have continued that trend throughout my professional career with the exception of an 8 year stint in corporate America, even then I worked out of my home and on the road, not confined to an office etc.
Currently I am working in the advertising and marketing industry, specializing in local marketing for small businesses. You can follow me on twitter at either @TheAdSource or @P4LocalMktg. I do not have a Facebook page yet…. however, it will be coming. You can also LinkedIn with me or even be my friend on 4Square. Social Media, that subject alone should be good for at least a dozen posts!
I love to hit the road on my bicycle. (Trek FX7600) On average when injury free and warm I will ride 10 miles a day during the week and 30+ on the weekends. In Florida I have completed the MS150 twice. I have yet to sign up for it up here, though I would like to do either that or Best Buddies or the Pan Mass Challenge. Training has been a problem since moving back here; the weather just isn’t the same here as it is in Florida..lol.
Another bucket list item I have is to complete a triathlon. I have had my eye on the Cohasset Triathlon for a couple years now but have never been able to sign up quick enough. This year I actually got an invite from the wait list but had to decline as I had not started training.
There you have it, a little about me short and sweet. Have a great week, check back again on Thursday!
Go Celtics!
