The Back Story

When I decided to leave the corporate world and explore self-employment, I knew that public speaking would prove a useful tool. At the time, I didn't know how useful.
You see, in the 6th grade I won the quietest girl award. Today I make a living as a professional communicator - speaking and writing and helping others speak and communicate with confidence. Ironic, right? Though I'm not fearless when it comes to public speaking, I have learned how to fear less. (Thanks to consistent practice, determination and Toastmasters.)

I want you to fear less about public speaking, too - it is a powerful way to share your message and advance your career.
In 2007 my husband and I co-founded the a great resource for community members looking to improve their communication and leadership skills. (You are welcome to join us on the 1st and 3rd Monday of each month.)
Here on the blog I'll share tips, resources and interviews with area professionals and Toastmasters members all in an effort to help you speak and lead with confidence.
I look forward to sharing information and engaging in conversation on a weekly basis.
