MAKE THAT CALL
I had visited a friend ,in the hospital, and planned to go again, but business delayed my trip; i had planned. One day made a difference because he died that night.
Someone said," A friend in need is a friend indeed." But this I know for sure.
If Kenneth was a friend of yours, your friendship was secure.

And though your time apart was long, that friendship would endure.
I speak from experience, Not something I have heard.

We have gone for several years, and never spoke a word.
But then the occasion would come, and when his voice was heard.
The time since the last visit became a blur.
Old friend, I think about you a lot, and I wanted to make a call.
But where I wrote your number down, I simply do not recall.
So let's enjoy the time we have, to recall our yesterdays.
The thrill of youth that we knew best, and pass the time of day.
"Do you remember," our conversation started.
And endless tales of fun and fears, until a time of parting.
Oh, I remember our frequent meetings and how we planned to stay in touch.
But, it always seemed that life demands our time too much.
If this is you I describe, It is time to make amends.
Do not let your friendship end, and seldom see a friend.
Too quickly time goes by, and we forget to do.
The little thing a friend needs most, is just to hear from you.
"But it is his time to call me, because I made the last call."
And so it seems we wait again, until the time is right.
Then we find we should have called, because he died last night.
So we go through life, and know people we call friend.
Please make a pledge to do the things you ought, and make that call, dear friend.
