Old Colony Montessori School holds Spring Open House Hingham, MA – April 30, 2013 – Old Colony Montessori School (OCMS) announces a school-wide Open House scheduled for Saturday, May 4, 2013 from 10:00am to 12:00pm.  Prospective parents are invited to tour the OCMS campus, meet with the Director, teachers and staff members and visit the Elementary and Children's House classrooms.  Parents will also be invited to view the Montessori Materials and have their questions answered while visiting the school.  Celebrating 50 years, OCMS is one of the oldest Montessori schools in the country, fully accredited and recognized by the Association Montessori Internationale (AMI).  The AMI was founded in 1929 by Dr. Maria Montessori to maintain the integrity of her life's work, and to ensure that it would be perpetuated after her death. Currently, OCMS is the only school on the South Shore to hold this accreditation. The Open House is free of charge and open to the public.
