WHY?

WHY?

The race was nearly over,

Some runners had crossed the finish line.

While many were still running,

For they were lagging behind.

It happened in an instance

With a boom and flying debris.

People being killed and maimed,

And others left to flee.

Shouts and screams were everywhere,

As citizens rushed to help.

They were willing to do what they could,

Even though they felt inept.

When calm had been restored, somewhat,

As much as could be expected.

The gory mess left behind,

Left America quite dejected.

While this act of terrorism was not expected,

American’s people know what to do.

Lift your voice to God on high,

For God has always seen us through.

What makes a demitted mind

Do such dastardly things to others?

It is very clear to me,

That we are not all brothers.
