Hingham police arrested a 28-year-old Braintree woman last Thursday for operating under the influence of drugs.  The arrest was her third OUI offense, according to Hingham Police. Hingham Police arrested Cynthia McCarthy, 28 of Braintree at the intersection of Friend and High Street after determining she was under the influence of substance. One of officers, who is a drug recognition expert came into evaluate her at station and determined she was under the influence of a depressant which was a central nervous system depressant, according to Hingham Police Sgt. Steven Dearth.  McCarthy was also arrested in Braintree in 2007 and Randolph in 2005 for drunken driving, according to Hingham police.
