Happy Chinese New Year 2012

Today marks the first day of the Year of the Dragon.

Tonight when the clock strikes midnight, Chinese people around the world will welcome the new year.

2012 is the year of the Dragon. Each year is associated with one of twelve animals in the Chinese zodiac. Fifth in the Chinese Zodiac cycle, the year of the Dragon follow the Rabbit and reoccurs every  12 years.  The Dragon is  the major symbol of good fortune in Chinese Astrology and many Chinese families hope for a child in the year of the dragon.  Dragons are the free spirits in the Zodiac.  They are innovators, passionate, brave, conceited, and Quick-Tempered. It is in their nature to know how to gain respect. Giving orders comes naturally to them and most people accept their authority. They are confident, fearless in the face of challenge, and are very successful. Dragons usually make it to the top.
