Col. Frank Curtis To Speak at Today's Memorial Day Service
Bring a lawn chair and head to the Hingham Commons to honor our veterans today.

Today's Memorial Day Observance in Hingham will begin at 11 a.m. at the Town Commons.
Colonel Frank Curtis, a Commanding Officer of the 1st Brigade Combat Team, 95th Division, will be today's guest speaker. Curtis, is a Braintree native who once commanded the Army's 432nd Civil Affairs Battalion in Baghad, Iraq.
Before his speech, all veterans and their families along with the Hingham High School band, the Boy Scouts will be positioned on the streets around the Hingham Commons. All living veterans and those who have passed away will be honored at the observance.

The ceremony will be called by new Town Moderator Michael Puzo and will also include music from the HHS band, a wreath laying by the boy scoutsand an invocation by Rev. John McHugh.
Seating will provided, but guests are asked to bring lawn chairs. There will also be a luncheon, which will follow the service for all veterans at the GAR Hall at 358 Main Street.

If it rains, the ceremony will be held at the Town Hall’s Sanborn Auditorium.
