The Company Theatre Announces Spring Young Adult Program Auditions

Auditions for Group Voice, Acting and Dance Company Programs in Norwell

The Academy of the Company Theatre’s (ACT) Studio One announces pre-professional performing arts audition schedule for the spring semester. Group classes are geared towards teen and young adult students that are serious about honing their craft. 16 weeks for the spring semester, from the week of January 25 through May 30. All programs are now open for registration, classes are held at The Company Theatre Center for the Performing Arts, 30 Accord Park Drive, Norwell.

Teen Voice 2 (ages 14 to 18)

Audition: January 25, 6 pm

Students work beyond the basic fundamentals of singing technique, refining skills in advanced song interpretation. Young performers advance their performance skills and continue to grow as a vocalist. Spring classes are held on Mondays from 6 to 7:15 pm.

Teen Acting 2 (ages 14 to 18)

Audition: January 27, 6 pm

Students work beyond the basic fundamentals of acting technique, refining skills in advanced scene study. Young performer advancing their performance skills as well as their theatrical knowledge. Spring classes are held on Wednesdays from 6:00 to 7:15 pm.

Studio One Dance Company (ages 14 to 21)

Audition: January 29, 4 pm

Intensive training program for young adult intermediate to advanced dancers, who seek comprehensive training of their dance technique. The company will train in all styles of dance, and work with skilled choreographers throughout the 16 week session. Students have the opportunity to learn from working professional dancers. The program culminates in a performance. Spring classes are held on Fridays from 4:00 to 6:00 pm.

Founded in 2013 as an extension of The Academy of The Company Theatre, ACT Studio One programs offer education geared towards refining skills in the arts, giving the performer a process to guide them towards excellence in performance. ACT Studio One’s mission is to build confidence in the performing arts through ability in a creative, safe and supportive environment, motivating self-expression through progressive training to children, teens and adults. A faculty of established teacher/artists educate, nurture and encourage proper technical development in voice, acting, movement and music, leading students to confident, positive experiences.
